Three Week Program
Triple Threat Theater Camp's 3-Week Program is the ultimate theater arts experience. Daily classes in Acting, Theater Dance, Voice are taught by nationally recognized leading theater educators, directors and choreographers. TTTC is a day program. Residence is available for out of state (and country) students. The program is open to students ages 6 - 18 years old. Students entering 12th grade will be considered for junior counselor positions.
At TTTC we begin our day with a full company warmup. Our mornings are dedicated to core curriculum classes, in dance, voice, acting and on-camera. Equal time is dedicated to each art form. For these classes, students are placed in separate companies, The Emmys, The Globes, The Tonys and The Oscars. Placement is based on age and experience. Material presented in class is both challenging and age appropriate. During our afternoons, rehearsals and workshops are held. Students also participate in the traditional aspects of summer camp such as arts and crafts, team building games and out door activities, including water play.
The 3-week program culminates in a theatrical production and screening of on film projects at the end of camp. This performance will take place in a state of the art theater and utilize full stage production including sound, lightening and wardrobe and film projection. Past performances include excerpts from Oliver, Bring it On! The Musical, Hair, The Greatest Showman, Hairspray, Rent, Hamilton, CATS, Willy Wonka, Annie, Chicago, Fame, A Christmas Story the Musical, The Lion King, Matilda the Musical, Legally Blonde, Frozen, Seussical the Musical, Newsies, Pippin, Spring Awakening, HONK!, 13 the Musical to name a few! Performances and on-camera projects for the 2019 season will be announced on the first day of camp.
Diverse and exciting workshops are conducted throughout the three week program. Students will have opportunity to be part of a professional photo shoot and learn how to select the best head shot, which is a performers calling card. A workshop on stage makeup will be held in which performers will learn how to apply complex stage makeup including: wounds, aging, beards, and creatures.
Students in the 3-week program have the opportunity to attend a trip to see a professional musical. In 2018, TTTC traveled to Boston to see the National Tour of 'Aladdin' . The 2019 campers ages 10+ will have the opportunity to see the Broadway national tour of 'Dear Evan Hansen'. These field trips are after camp hours and are optional. Tickets are not included in tuition and will be available for purchase for students and parents during enrollment. Following our end of camp production, TTTC hosts the ultimate all-night cast party. Featuring a wacky fashion show, skits performed by campers and lots games, the cast party sleepover is a favorite of all TTTC week student. Tuition includes breakfast on the last day of camp.
Filmed audition submissions are required for the three week program. Material will be emailed to registered students.
